Emmanuel Dudley Ministries offers free programs to prepare students to pass the General Educational Development (GED) exams. These are a series of five exams that allow students to demonstrate mastery of high school-level academic skills.
A GED certificate is a great opportunity to start fresh
Students drop out of high school for many reasons. However, many jobs require a high school diploma. Earning a GED certificate is the same as earning a Diploma. It is a valuable tool in a job search.
Emmanuel Dudley Ministries volunteers offer courses on:
- Concept and Learning Goals
- Reading & Writing
- Math
- Social Studies
- Science
- U.S. Constitution & Illinois Constitution
The program takes about 9 months, but students can finish faster. There is no charge for the courses offered by the ministry.
To take the GED exams, students will schedule a time at one of the local testing centers. There is a fee for each exam, which is paid to the testing site.
